Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs.
Isaiah 61:7, NKJV.
In the Old Testament when this scripture was written, God’s people were going through a very dark time. They were being held captive and mistreated by other nations. God sent this word to encourage them and give them hope for their future, and when the time came, God was faithful to His Word!
Are you going through a difficult time today? Let this word bring you encouragement, too. God wants to give you double for your trouble. He is the God of restoration—that means He’s not going to just repay you for every wrong done, He’s going to go above and beyond and make things even better than they were before.
If you are facing challenges today or going through a time of adversity, remember, it’s always darkest just before the dawn appears. Your days are destined to shine brighter because God is faithful. As you stay in faith and are obedient to His Word, you’ll receive double for your trouble and see His promises come to pass!
Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for Your Word which lights my path and guides my steps. I choose to put my trust and hope in You today. Thank You for bringing restoration into my life as I keep my heart and mind stayed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You for setting me free in every area of my life. I declare today that nothing can hold me back. I declare that I am free from sickness, poverty, lack and addiction. I declare that You have set me free and thank You for freedom and discipline in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Sometimes, its easy to get wrapped up in taking care of the people around us. You may find that you’re always giving, taking care of the children, working overtime at the office, or helping that friend who is struggling. And thats all good. But if youre not careful, you can end up feeling rundown. Thats why you have to take time every day to get filled back up. Your first priority should be taking care of yourself and making time to get into the presence of Jesus.
Throughout scripture, we see that in Gods presence there is fullness of joy, fullness of peace, and fullness of victory. In His presence, youre refreshed and restored. Thats why its so important to take time every day to read your Bible and meditate on His promises. We have to be diligent to have that quiet time with Him.
Today, take time to get alone with God and just say, God, I love You today. Thank You for my life, for my family, for the opportunities Youve given me. Lord, I know every good thing comes from You. When you live like that, with your heart connected to His, youll be refreshed, restored, reenergized and filled up for the journey of life!
“When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown” Isaiah 43:2 (TLB).
Have you ever experienced something that truly tested your faith, your joy and your convictions? We’re not talking about just having a bad day or having to deal with difficult people – but enduring an intense situation that rocks you to your very core. When many people face such soul-searching they let their happiness and joy turn into bitterness and anger. Make sure this doesn’t happen to you. Don’t give the evil one the victory by becoming an ineffective Christian due to lingering bitterness. Even if you’re being tested, God has promised to remain faithful. He is all-powerful, and He can pull you out of your troubles at any moment
